Complete lesson with 1 hour PowerPoint and additional worksheets (as well as other complete package lessons from this unit) are also available at my shop. All follow consistent format and style, differentiated to at least 3 levels and designed to meet Ofsted ‘Good’ or above.

6 x worksheets of 8 mark exam practice questions and 6 x easy to follow peer assessment mark schemes for Citizenship GCSE 9-1. No AQA past exam questions have been used here - all of these are brand new (but created by an experienced AQA marker, based on how the questions are always structured).
The mark schemes have been completely rewritten to put them into student speak, so this pack could easily be split into homeworks or plenaries you can get the students to mark - so no extra work for you.
The easy peer-assessment mark schemes templates are also all completely editable - so you can use these in future to create new exam questions yourself.

One hour, fully resourced lesson (PowerPoint, worksheets, clip tasks, activities, all differentiated three ways) which introduces the concept of right wing extremism. It focuses on the reasons surrounding the rise of extremism in the UK and globally, examining the different right wing groups and their ideologies.
The lesson is adaptable, easy to follow and fully differentiated. It could be used by a Citizenship, PSHE or Tutor group. It was made for KS4 / 5 but could be adapted for KS3.
This resource pack includes an hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, templates, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and information sheets.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it.

Drop Down Day / Off Timetable Day Pack - A set of 6 lessons to cover a Drop Down Day (6 hours) all about democracy, elections and voting.
The Drop Down Day was put together for Year 9 originally, but all the resources are editable and well-differentiated so it could be used with any year group KS4 / KS3 with a tweak or so.
The overall theme for the series of KS3 Drop Down Days was ‘British Values’, so this is just one in a series of six which ran throughout the year. The day works especially well if you can align it with voting for the student council or prefects. At the end of the sessions, after carefully studying the democratic process, the students could come down to the hall to cast their vote.
There is much focus on British Values throughout the lessons as this was planned to ensure thorough coverage of Citizenship and SMSC.
All these individual lessons have been rated very highly by Tes users and are tried and tested in my own department.

Key differences in how citizens can or cannot participate in politics in one democratic and one non-democratic political system that is outside the UK.

A 1- 2 hour detailed and well-differentiated lesson which covers the Edexcel Citizenship GCSE spec for the following:
Theme B – Democracy at Work.
How the regional list system for European Parliament elections operates; the impact of this on which parties are represented compared with UK general elections.
Theme C – Power and Influence : Key differences in how citizens can and cannot participate in politics in political systems outside the UK: one democratic and one non-democratic.
The lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, information packs, differentiated activity worksheets, differentiated challenge activities, exam questions with peer assessment mark-scheme and clips tasks. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.
